Hardware of the Week:Samsung Galaxy S III


Featuring the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich and new range of technology  Samsung Galaxy S III is an ideal substitute  for Apple IPhone 4S.The phone supports 2G,3G and 4G networks.The 720 x 1280 pixels ,4.8 inches AMOLED screen provides high quality display.

Samsung Galaxy S III  supports upto 64 GB micro sd cards.It is also available with internal memory of 16/32/64 GB. 1 GB of RAM and 1.4GHz Cortex A9 Quadcore Processor is also a promising piece of  technology for Samsung's  customers. Basic features 
likeGPRS,Bluetooth,USB,WLAN,GPS were also made available. The phone has Bluetooth 4.0 .  It also have accelerometer,gyro,RGB,proximity,compass,barometer sensors. S III aslo features a radio,support for Java,Adobe Flash,Smart Stay eye tracjking, Dropbox (50 GB storage), Active noice cancellation with dedicated mic,TV out (via MHL A/V link).Support for MP4/DivX/Xvid/WMV/H.264/H.263/MP3 makes playing movies and hearing music easier.Data speeds for HSDPA is upto     21.1Mbp and for HSUPA it is 5.76 Mbps.
The 8 MP Primary camera of 3264 x 2448 pixels features autofocus,LED  flash.Another helpful feature is the ability to take simultaneous HD Video and Image recording.Geo tagging,touch focus,face and smile detection,image stabilisation are also available.The secondary camera is 1.9MP.



Standard Li-ion 2100 mAh battery provides S III standby time upto 590h(2G) and 790h(3G)and talk time upto 21h 40min(2G) and 11h  40 min(3G).

S III is currently available only in 2 colors, Pebble Blue and Marble White.It weighs 133g.Its dimensions are 136.6  x 70.6 x 8.6mm.
